Spiral & filter belts

Dewatering, nonstop.

Synthetic spiral belts and filter cloths for belt presses, dewatering tables and filter presses — first-quality heat-set polyester, sized and sealed on site when needed.

drag to rotate

Spiral belts — also called spiral fabric or link fabric — are the workhorse of mechanical liquid/solid separation: sludge dewatering in municipal and industrial plants, fruit pressing, board and veneer production. Averinox develops and supplies a full range, built from first-quality heat-set polyester yarns for stability and long life.

The construction is honest engineering: spirals joined by cross wires, with the stuffer wire setting the open area. The result is strong, flat-surfaced, dimensionally stable under heat and moisture, and — crucially for uptime — seamless, with joints as strong as the belt and repairs possible on site.

Alongside spiral belts we supply woven filter cloths for plate-and-frame and membrane filter presses: mono- and multifilament weaves in polypropylene, polyester and polyamide, thermo-fixed and laser-cut. Mono-multi satin is the popular all-rounder: strong, excellent cake release, easy to clean. Double-weave belt filters complete the range for belt, drum and disc filters.

Through our sister brand Spirofil, belts come with the muscle behind them: maintenance, renovation and optimisation of complete dewatering installations, up to >80% dry solids.

Applications

  • Sludge dewatering: belt presses, dewatering tables, belt thickeners
  • Quarry, mining and chemical sludges
  • Fruit and vegetable pressing
  • Particle board, MDF, OSB, hardboard and veneer lines
  • Filter press cloths in waste water and food processing

Features & benefits

  • Seamless joints — as strong as the belt itself
  • Made to size on site; easily repaired without removal
  • Filled or unfilled: air permeability tuned 250 to >1000 CFM
  • Sealed edges; flat stuffers and special yarns on project basis
  • One partner for belt, cloth and the machine around it (Spirofil)

Materials & variants

Standard belts are 100% first-quality polyester, heat-set for low elongation and shrinkage. Polypropylene and polyamide cloths cover chemical and abrasion extremes; metal spiral and woven belts are available where temperature rules out synthetics.

Frequently asked questions

Which psb type fits my belt press?

It depends on the sludge and the drainage profile you need: 15/50 for maximum strength and openness, 29/85 for finer retention, 21/66 in between. Send us the machine type and sludge data and we size it — or measure on site.

Can a damaged belt be repaired instead of replaced?

Often, yes. Spiral belts can be repaired on site with a seam as strong as the original fabric. For urgent breakdowns we arrange what is needed; outside business hours by arrangement.
